JUSTIN BARRON - OWNER/INSTRUCTOR
Justin is a highly accomplished US Army combat veteran with distinguished service in the 82nd Airborne Division and as a member of a JSOC Task Force in Iraq. With extensive experience in high-threat, austere environments, Justin has successfully completed numerous combat deployments, specializing in personal security detachments (PSD) and direct-action raids (DA). Following his military career, Justin has further honed his expertise by attending elite executive protection schools and instructor courses, focusing on firearms, close-quarters battle (CQB), and executive and close protection (EP/CP) tactics. He has also provided invaluable support on private military contracts and executed numerous high-profile executive and close protection operations both domestically and internationally. He is also actively involved in sex trafficking rescue operations with multiple organizations. Justin’s comprehensive skill set, and dynamic training methodology bring unparalleled valve to the team, ensuring mission success and unparalleled professionalism for any scenario.
MARCOS FERNANDES - OWNER/INSTRUCTOR
At age 20, Marcos joined the Army in 2010, serving as an Infantry Team Leader, Personal Security Detachment, Radio Operator, Rifleman, Machine Gunner, and Armored Vehicle Driver. He deployed to Afghanistan twice, with 170th IBCT and 3rd ID, and was awarded multiple medals, including a Purple Heart and ARCOM with Valor Device.
Upon leaving service in 2015, Marcos became a firearm instructor and Armorer, before earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from UTD. He completed his degree, interning as a business consultant and firearm instructor.
Marcos currently works with tactical training companies, as a business owner, consultant, and firearms, medical, urban and rural movement Instructor. During his private security career, he has been in charge of assignments that included protecting presidential candidates, public figures, very-high net worth individuals, large crowds, and hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of equipment.
BRIAN ULCH - OWNER/INSTRUCTOR
Brian has over 32 years of experience in close-contact weapons training and martial arts, bringing a unique blend of practical expertise, disciplined instruction, and real-world operational leadership to every role he undertakes. He is a licensed Private Investigator and holds multiple certifications through the Texas Private Security Bureau, including Level 2, 3, and 4 Security Officer licenses, as well as instructor credentials in Level 3, Level 4, and Firearms. A second-degree black belt, Brian has actively trained in and taught various martial arts systems, specializing in close-quarter defense and dignitary protection tactics. Over the past 12 years, Brian has served in both uniformed and executive protection roles, providing high-level security for prominent clients. He spent seven years as Director of Security for a major North Texas nonprofit, overseeing comprehensive safety operations and team training. His work includes not only operational leadership but also the development of actively trained, mission-ready security and safety teams.
Beyond his professional duties, Brian is deeply involved in community service. He serves as a board member and Executive Protection Coach for the Cooke County Hope Alliance, supporting survivors of human trafficking, veterans, and single parents. He is also a board member of MAD (Making A Difference), a nonprofit empowering veterans with PTSD, widows, and families through martial arts-based healing and mentorship. As Vice President and Co-Owner of Guided Solutions, he helps provide job placement and mentorship for veterans, foster youth aging out of care, and trafficking survivors.
TOM DICKSON - OWNER/INSTRUCTOR
Tom brings a comprehensive background in firearms instruction, tactical and self-defense training, uniformed security, and executive protection. With a mission to prepare individuals and organizations for real-world threats, Tom’s training approach is both practical and deeply informed by years of hands-on experience in high-stress environments. In addition to his experience in armed defense, Tom holds training in multiple disciplines of martial arts, including Muay Thai, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, giving him a structured and well-rounded foundation in hand-to-hand combat and personal protection.
Tom has received specialized training and has experience in safety and emergency preparedness for churches, businesses, and community groups. His learning and teaching include de-escalation techniques, active shooter response, shelter-in-place protocols, bomb threat evacuation, and medical training for emergencies such as massive hemorrhage, airway obstruction, respiratory distress, cardiac events, heat exhaustion, and hypothermia.
